Shannon Dickie has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph in Studio Art. In her oil paintings, she explores society’s interactions with digital media. Shannon is drawn to moments of people in motion. Through her use of blur, she not only implies the motion of the figure, but also associates the digital image with a faded memory. She has been featured in national publications including the September 2012 issue of Canadian House and House Magazine, and the new Visual Art high school textbook, Art Works. She has worked as an Artist Educator at the Art Gallery of Ontario and is presently teaching art at an independent school in downtown Toronto.
