Stephanie Kenzie is a Toronto based illustrator and printmaker, and graduated from OCADu in 2015. As a child, she invented alternate stories to go along with images from picture books; her work today is reminiscent of illustrations of bizarrely quirky books that don’t exist. Stephanie is an active participate in Toronto’s Zine culture, exhibiting at Canzine for multiple years and co-organizing a Super Awesome zine fair in 2013. She has also shown in galleries across Toronto and into Michigan, most recently at the Steam Whistle Gallery in Toronto, in a group show called “Secret Lives.” This has been a very formal Artist Statement; imagine now, if you will, a tiny creature wearing boots yelling ‘AAAAaaaaaa’ as it runs off into the distance. Thank you.
