Artist Statement:

Tanja-Tiziana lives and creates in Toronto, Canada.  Her photographic work examines our notion of time in the bustling modern metropolis.  With traditional and integral film, as well as digital processes, she carves and shapes the field of view in order to create multiple exposures that question our perception of what is past and present, real and imagined, here and gone — in the maze of our personal memory.

Recent projects include a photographic essay on the death of Coney Island, a collage series featuring found Kodachrome slides from the 1940s-70s and an upcoming book, “Buzzing Lights: The Fading Neon Landscape of North America”, to be released later this year.
